West Systems thickened with milled fiberglass. Once I mixed up the first batch, I realized it was thicker than I would prefer, but I didn't want to waste the batch and ended up making it work thankfully.

Nose cone tip is permanent and will be filed, sanded, primed, and painted in time. Nose weight is in there for good now as well.

Was there something you liked about the RRC3 vs the RRC2? I like that sled. It has both of the switch mounting options.

For the record, I love both the RRC3 and the RRC2. I decided this year to consolidate all my MW units to the RRC3 for consistencies sake. Between MW units and Featherweight Raven 4/Blue Raven, we should be good to go for a bit.

Trimmed the 1/4-20 rod for the Jayhawk, also working on a 2.6" nose cone test bed for tethered dual deploy. I want to fully test the deployment mechanics with .357 casing tether before using on the Jayhawk.

That electronics bay turned out pretty slick. I might need to order a few. The reason I never looked the 3d printed sled is because I used the screw type switch and those weren't available on the RRC2 version.

Install your Aeropack, get the motor mount in place, get the tailcone on, then deliver to WI for wiring tunnel work.Hey, now that you got those perfected, maybe you could make me a set…
Need 36" of Wildman 38mm tubing and a 5-6" long 38mm coupler, and the 3D printed cone.

Nearing the final stages of this build. Nose cone mounting screws and vent holes added, lines up perfectly with the sled/Schurter switches.

Also got a weight thus far (does not include recovery cord, chute, nomex, or RDF tracker), 16.28 lbs. Final weight should be at or near 17.5.

Will be very nice on a K1800! Would estimate 4800 feet or so.

what proccess did you use to trim the BT to size?

Taped a couple of sheets of printer paper together, and get those lined up on the OD of the tube. Then slowly cut through using a Dremel with a flexible extension shaft. I also use the thicker reinforced fiberglass cutoff wheels as well. 2-3 passes over the OD of the tube, its cuts clean through. Also wear a particle mask please.

Should have an 8' Valkyrie Recovery Systems main and 18" drogue arriving today. I'll post initial pics and opinions once received. I'll also add recovery gear to Jayhawk this weekend, then prep for ground testing.

Looks like VRS makes a nice product! Lighter material, super slick, small lines, should pack down nice and small. This 8' chute is bigger than the photos make it seem.
