busted Vostok.jpgOk, so after a year of building Leo's Vostok 1 model, I took it out excited to finally be able to shoot it and the interstage collapsed! I was thinking of using either toothpicks or some wire mesh to fix this. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

When I built my 1/48 Soyuz, I left the interstage section whole. You may lose a little in esthetics, but gain a lot in strength.

Tube backer and cut out, soaked in CA should hold up, I have done something similar and it held up.

Thank you to everyone for the excellent ideas. I found a used air filter from a semi truck that has roughly the same pattern I need for Vostok/Soyuz. I burned away the paper filter, cut a strip the size I needed, and painted it. It's strong, light, and looks good. Will be posting pics of the repair soon (time permitting).
