I thought I start a thread for us fellow vinyl lovers among the rocketry community to share possible deals and recommendations.

First one for Steely Dan fans. Countdown to Ecstacy 180g reissue marked down on Amazon to $20 today. This is a series of Steely Dan reissues mastered by Bernie Grundman. Has decent reviews on Steve Hoffman forum. I had this and loved this album. Unfortunately I donated it to the library 15 years ago when I thought vinyl was dead.

Can't recommend the Neil Young Barn from Amazon. Alot of surface noise for a brand new record. Ands thats after a cleaning. Too bad because otherwise the sound is great. Maybe that's why its half price, lots of returns. This one is going back.

Wonder if you got a return.
It is so disappointing when you open a new album and it has scratches and excessive background noise.

I wouldn't think Amazon would re-shrinkwrap a return. It probably just gets put in a liquidation gaylord and sent to bin store seller.

Amazon themselves may not, but one of their sellers (re-sellers) might.

Clearly a different type of vinyl.

I am not sure if it is policy, but it happens. I bought a medicine organizer/pill organizer, which came with a free pill. Initially, they suggested there was no way I would receive a used item. When I told the chat support that it was oxycodone and a felony to distribute narcotics outside of a prescription, they bounced it up a level in support and called me. They asked for it back without the pill.
