I seem to remember a post a few years ago where someone used a large diameter PVC pipe as a frame for a competition style launch tower.
In other words, The pipe was used as an external frame to support 3 vertical rods.
Does anyone have any information on this?
Has anyone used this method and if so, How much of the tube needs to be cut away.
What are the problems associated with this method?
I have access to a supply of 6" diameter aluminum tube at scrap value.
