We saw it get dim slowly, but nothing really special until about 2 minutes before totality and then it got dark quickly. Totality was impressive, but not nearly as dark as I expected. It lasted just over 2 minutes and then it started getting light again. Another 2 minutes and it was pretty much back to normal.

It has been a relatively normal shift for our EMS world today. GA air traffic is heavy, but everything else has been average so far.No Police Calls up to and including the Eclipse of the Sun. But now plenty on the scanner. Seemed my FT8 signals were stronger to the West Coast during that time.

Even though I know a lot of the effect was due to the marvelous range of light our eyes can handle, I was still impressed with how much light was emitted by the solar corona. Street lights did come on though, which was wild.Totality was impressive, but not nearly as dark as I expected.
