The Jet Freak is fun, simple, and cheap

The Jet Freak is basically a flat plate glider (no airfoil). Simply put, when the motor ejects, the CG shifts so that the front of the glider's wings tilts up (think in terms of a seesaw. When one kid gets off, the heavier end drops down). This creates turbulence, which in turn creates a lower pressure area above the wings, creating lift, similar to what you'd see in a conventional airfoiled wing. Hopefully the attached picture will help.

So, if your trim the glider (with no motor case) to fly level, then this is adequate to pull out of the dive?

Most of the time that is all that is needed.

If not then see my post #27 on Trimming and adding some up elevator....

The best way to learn this is build, trim and fly.
