Hi, it's my first time posting something here or generally using a forum so I'm sorry If I made my thread wrong in anyway or an answer to this question has already been posted.

Now to my question, are there any rocketry clubs or organisations in Austria? Or at least do you know any rules or guidelines?

This is a great place for that kind of question.

Tripoli Rocketry Association is worldwide for "High Power Rocketry" (HPR) activities. https://www.tripoli.org/ I'd start there if that's your interest.

In the U.S., the other organization is the National Association of Rocketry. https://www.nar.org/

In the rest of the world, the primary organization is FAI. https://www.fai.org/page/s-space-models

I'd start looking on those sites for resources pointing you toward groups or organizations in Austria or nearby countries. I live in Texas, which is bigger than many European countries, so if I contemplate traveling to another state to fly rockets, that is in line with going to Germany somewhere for you, I reckon.

Good luck, and stick around. There are several members here, including some who are very important to the community, outside the U.S.

Welcome to the forum.

Victorian Rocketry Association is a Tripoli prefecture.
https://www.victorianrocketry.org.au/
Canberra, NSW, WA, and Qld all have active rocketry clubs.

The OP is in Austria, as in beer and Gelandewagens, not Australia as in kangaroos and every wild animal wanting to kill and eat you, but not particularly concerned with the sequence.

Oops. It is rare that I make that mistake. That will teach me to reply late in the evenings.

Whenever I meet anyone from Austria whilst traveling my next comment is always "There are no kangaroos in Austria!" and they are so greatful I know the difference. They get asked about kangaroos a lot :) .

There are a number of active clubs in Germany that do multi-day launches, where I often see folk from Austria, like the student team from TU Wien.
AGM is in Germany. RJD is held on Ascension weekend (Himmelfahrt) a bit north of Leipzig. It's open to everyone.
https://www.ag-modellraketen.de/rjd/allgemeines-zum-rjd-flugtag/The club Solaris also holds a 3-day event every year at the end of summer in Manching, north of Munchen, also open to everyone.

AGM and Solaris, both being German language clubs, may be a good fit for you.

The rocketry community in Austria is not very big, but it does exist. And it's currently not threatened by drop bears. :)
There are 3 student rocket teams (2 in Vienna, 1 in Graz) and a relatively new Tripoli prefecture.
Launching in Austria is a bit inconvenient if you need a waiver (above 120/150m altitude) because the amount of paperwork and the waiver fees are higher than I would prefer. I, and most of the folks I know, mostly fly abroad (Germany, as mentioned above, Switzerland, Italy,...), but an Austrian launch site is currently in the works, so the situation might improve.

I work in Heiligenkreuz im Lafnitztal every few years. Not far from Graz. I’ll be there in late Spring or early summer, 2024. Be interesting to see what they have for rockets.

I stumbled on this first picture thinking it was perfect for the situation, but probably photo shopped.
