The new A-D motor propellant is the faster burning Black Max. The nozzles are pressed ceramic and the motor tube is plastic.

Oh No!! I hope they are well insulated enough to prevent bubbling/melting so we can remove them from the MMT after use.

There are plenty of plastics that can take the heat of an A-D motor, that's not something I would worry about..

They speak to me in strange tongues... of flame. I think it wants to explode! Seriously though, why not phenolic? Familiar process, reuse of equipment, etc.

Why use a more expensive material if its not needed.
