Until it comes down ballistic, then it's a regular grappling hook.Ye olde reverse grappling hook.
Huh?Probably would need a golf ball rather than a ping pong ball...
The weight in the front to get the CG more forward away from the grappling hook fins.Huh?
This would make for a neat pseudo scale Saturn V variant. A Neptune 3 maybe?OK, here's another idea. Not the one I was going to do. This one just magically appeared.View attachment 432611

I think it's too late for that.SSC.... do we need to send somebody over there to get that app away from you before something bad happens???!!!

A bit of positive angle on the wings and add feet would do the trickI believe that bird one would need a vertical tail of some sort, or it will have too little aerodynamic correction force along the axis perpendicular to the wings.
That is sick. I lkke it! Yes Mr. RSO. The fins in back stick out just enough to provide stability in the somewhat messy airflow behind the crew pod.Another interplanetary spaceship.
I feel like I should make fins to connect the front with the back.

Keep those big fins moving forward and like RedBull, model rocketry will give you wings!Nah. My Gweela looks like a mutant tadpole..

Maybe I should get back to work...
I have to get working on the Wooshing Crane design that has been sitting in the box for years. Not much of a mod and it could be the ultimate bird: the Wild Turkey! Model rockets need feathers! The bird is the word!View attachment 432780
Gweela, AKA Brush Turkey. Nice vertical tail.
These beasties actually fly remarkably well, lofting themselves 30ft or more into trees.
