I have a PML Spitfire kit (with QT), which is partially assembled. I started it and just don't have the time or desire to finish it.

All fins are on and fully secure and perfectly aligned. I used internal epoxy fillets on all touching surfaces and 2 part expanding foam epoxy for the fin can. Bought the expanding foam from WM. Same stuff PML sells

Fillets are on, but need to be shaped and sanded. I used epoxy clay for the fillets. I did 2 of 3 of the fins. You can used 150 then 220 and they turn out really nice. I used a rubber grip, but a wooden dowel works as well. Also used spot putty glaze to fill in any low spots. See in pictures.

What needs to be completed?

  • Piston assembly (optional)
  • Nose cone weight and bulk plate (Kit didn't come with bulk plates, but plates are included)
  • Rail guides / Rail buttons. Your choice? If you don't use the piston go with the rail buttons.
  • Primer and paint
  • Add decals
  • Attach recovery harness and chute
  • Stuff J500 up the rear end - Go baby go!!
What's included:

Everything you see pictured plus

  • 3/8" closed eye bolt.
  • Upgraded PML panel parachute 48"
  • Bulk plates for nose cone

Optional:

  • Aeropack 38mm retainer (NEW) add $30
  • One Bad Hawk 20' 3/16" tubular Kevlar harness (NEW) add $20

Price:

$75 plus shipping cost. As far as shipping cost I would have to pack the rocket and weigh it and get you an exact price, but from past experience and just based on the size etc. I'm guessing it might be around $25 give or take a few dollars? That's sending it parcel post most likely. Honestly I'm just guessing, but I will ship it whatever would be the lowest cost rate for you, if you wanted insurance or Priority then of course it would be more.

One other Note:

I have the RS file of the kit with all the updated weights if you need it. I weighed the epoxy and the current parts.
