Open Rocket Feature Suggestion (easy)

As this software grows, more and more of us share our design among ourselves.
One thing that would make this easy is an import/export feature of project complete with motor file. So far, only design file can be saved and the motor imported separately. It would be nice if we could hit a button and create a zip file or something that could make that process easier.

Am i making any sense with this?

Would OpenRocket support python? I might be able to write a script. But probably not, dont know that much python, more of a C# guy.

Hi,

The OpenRocket format will likely change to be ZIP-based as 3D decals come into play. That will make it a lot simpler to package also the engine files into it.

I'm planning on making OpenRocket more easily extensible with plugins, and scripting would be a natural extension of this. In the mean while, there are some instructions on Python scripting here: https://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/openrocket/index.php?title=Scripting_with_Python_and_JPype
