Where are some online sites you guys have had good luck ordering supplies from?
Somebody who will stand by their products.

I know I can google it but, whom do you trust with your business and know that you can, with confidance put their products in your rockets.

What kind of products are you after?

Folks I've ordered directly from, and have no problems doing so again (in no particular order). Note that the list is from memory, so I may inadvertently leave someone off.

1) LOC/Precision
2) Public Missiles
3) Wildman
4) MissileWorks
5) Giant Leap
6) Squirrel Works
7) FlisKits
8) Semroc
9) Apogee
10) Pratt Hobbies
11) Featherweight
12) Rocketman

I'm sure there are others that are escaping me at the moment. But every one of these is someone with whom I have personal experience, and every one has treated me well.

From my experience, please add:

BMS (Balsa Machining Service)
Excelsior Rocketry (Sandman)
JonRocket
Hobbylinc

Sunward not on the list?

We stand behind all purchases. Details on the front page.

BTW, where are you located and what kind of products are you looking for?

My list is based on who I, personally, have dealt with from a mail-order perspective.

I've seen your kits; a friend has several of them. But I've never ordered from you, so I cannot comment.

I guess my service must of sucked.

I have always had good service from vendors. I have bought from a couple vendors not yet mentioned:

What's Up Hobbies
RCS (Aerotech)
Top Flight Recovery
Transolve Electronics
Communications Specialists, Inc.

Each of these companies has given me superior service.

Clear Skies,

I have ordered from most of the above(#'s 11 and 12 I haven't ordered from) plus a couple more:

K and S Rockets - very quick, high quality kits..And chutes are great too!
Pemberton Tech - Very quick service(and I got lucky and got a friendly Llama to deliver my package!)

And I am sure there are a couple I have forgotten..

As you can see from the above posts, most of the venders are pretty good folk. I would trust just about all of them mentioned thus far; the others I do not distrust, I just have no experience with them.

That said, there are a few that you need to watch out for. By and large, they do not post here on TRF.

If you find an offer you like, feel free to PM somebody here on TRF who has a proven reputation (look at the successful builds and flight) and ask their opinon.

The rocketry crowd is fairly small but they really are great people.

Or you just didn't come to mind at the time.

I have ordered from Scott; great to deal with -- what I ordered had some lead time, and he kept me informed as to what was going on. Definitely easy to deal with -- K & S belongs on the list, too!

Thanks a lot for the responses.

I am currently working on my first dual deployment system. I have a Wildman Jr.

I was looking for a switch and power unit for a Raven altimeter. Some kind of locator, beeper or gps.

I will be concentrating this winter on building my own EX motors.
I might even build another rocket, maybe a Wildman Extreme?

I am using the communication specialists system as many others do. I recommend it.

If you want a locator, I really like the stuff from Big Red Bee (https://www.bigredbee.com). You do need a Ham license for most of it, but it's not difficult to get.

If you just want a sonic locator, I like the Pratt MicroBeacon.

The new 900mhz unit from BRB doesn't reqiure a license..

I see the 'Wildman Bug' has bit you, lab man! Can't go wrong with ANY of the Wildman kits! Also be sure to read the 'Wildman Rules'..Main points being:

* Put the largest motor possible in the rocket..
* If challenged to a 'drag race' by a fellow Wildman Rocketeer you will always accept the challenge
* Not be afraid to wear a dress in the event you lose the drag race:eek:

I can vouch for Sunward; the service is courteous, the items are very well-packed (you use some sturdy boxes there, Angelo) and delivery is quick.

I've gotcha Mark!

My top vendors overall.

1) Mark Hayes (stickershock23.com) you can NOT fly a rocket without decals
2)uncle mikes rocket shack
3)commonwealth (awesome parachutes)
4)always ready rocketry
5)apogee

In no particular order except for the #1 spot. Can you imagine what the world would be like if we all flew naked rockets?

I picture it as just a grey world, no color for anything...kind of like the setting in The Giver if you have ever read that book.

Get a tracker from wildman, Rocket Trackers were dong much better then the BRB's but it could just be the operators of the Rocket Trackers.

Don't ever go anywhere other then Mark at Stickershock, there aren't any better vinyl decals anywhere else.

Gotta add Perfectflite to the list. Their altimeters are bombproof and they are great to work with if you break it! I trashed one and the rebuilt it for $5 even after I told them it wasn't the fault of the altimeter

Kevin I was just busting your chops. It is all good.

Yeah, he harassed you into convincing me to place my first K&S order just now. A good source of presewn recovery harnesses would be a nice find - my 80 year old mother is a little sick of sewing them for me.

Nope, it didn't.

You slipped my mind, too. Two orders from you, both incredibly easy, and the on the trailer, you gave us a great deal!

-Kevin

Whew... I feel better now LOL

Thanks for the orders, It's a pleasure making everyone's rocket's look like they want them to look!!!
