I'd been doing a simple plywood sheet with a 1/4 inch lug on the back. Epoxied all thread into the NC and then slip in plate and secure. Happy to share pictures elsewhere if interested.
I see there is a commercial printed version of a 'screw in' style NC av bay/sled which incorporates things like the battery, switch and different nose cone diameters.
Has anyone out there ever done an open sourced version of something like that? Or a whole 2.6 to 3.9 inch NC with a built in avbay?
Am am aware of the vent hole issue however all my NCs that I have use this on have generous shoulders such that the vent holes are inches down from the NC/BT joint.
And if there are already posts here, pls, let me know... I do not wish to waste people's time. It just making something like that is pretty complicated for a CAD novice such as myself.
I print using a Ender3V2
