Thankfully, I never kept my receipts or added things up. This way I can lowball my guestimates on how much I have spent over the years................

And even that number comes out way too high :facepalm: and I mostly do LPR!!!!

Another factor to consider is time. How much time spent building and finishing, especially bigger or upscale/scratch built projects. My Level 2 rocket cost me, IIRC , close to $200, plus the motor, another $60. It shredded on it's first attempt, remake entire lower section, another $60. So there's $320, no L2 yet, but I spent probably 40-60 hours working on it (that might be a little high, but you get the point). Then another $60 for a successful L2 attempt. Time, lots of it, that's part of the cost as well.
 
Oh, I'm well aware of time spent working on it. The car I referred to earlier, my buddy and I have somewhere around 3,000 man hours in it.
 
Waiting on my electronics, then to find a launch, then I'm off to get my cert.
