NEFAR's Bunnell Blast 2013 - November 9 & 10

NEFAR's Bunnell Blast is coming up soon - November 9 & 12 - in Bunnell, Florida, near Daytona Beach. The annual "Blast" is a two-day launch. Saturday's launch concludes after dusk to incorporate a night launch.

Bracha and I are on-track to debut the new bigger Big Daddy Akavish at the launch.

Every day this week, the weather forecast for the weekend has improved. Now, wer'e down to just a 10 to 20% chance of precipitation on Saturday with winds of under 15 mph. Sunday's even better, no precipitation and winds under 10 mph.

We have an audience on Saturday, so we plan to launch the Bigger Big Daddy Akavish on that day. A couple of friends may be coming out on Sunday, so I'm looking for something to fly that day. Even if everything goes well, I'm not sure that I want to fly the Akavish two times in one weekend. It takes a while to prep and the motors are a little expensive.
