The Mid-South Rocket Society, NAR section 550, in Memphis, TN, will conduct a launch July 18th at 9AM on Gardener Rd in Shelby Farms. We will have launch equipment available. Rods from 1/8" to 1/4" and 1010 rails. Remember to bring water, chairs, sunscreen, rockets, and motors (maybe a pop-up tent-gazebo too). The forecast is for 100 degrees, so bring water. The club allows flights up to a "J" size motor. The FAA waiver is 6000 feet. Flights exceeding 2500 feet are required to use altimeters for drogue/main deployment unless authorized by a club officer prior to launch day. NAR level one and level two certifications are available, contact a club officer prior to launch day for verification and requests for L2 tests. Remember to bring water because the weather forecast is for highs in upper 90's - low 100's. There are no facilities at the launch site, the nearest park toilet is over a mile away.
