I built and launched (Estes Alpha, Wizard and scratch built) small model rockets years ago and loved everything about them and the hobby. Practically everything, including hobbies, had to be put on hold due to a years long health crisis that forced my retreat. Now I’m back and trying to learn as much as I can about the hobby and the science of rocketry. I’m currently building a custom rocket based on an Estes Majestic airframe. I’ve added an altimeter inside the nose cone and cameras (one down viewing, one horizon viewing) to an extended payload bay installed under the NC, as well as a 1st stage booster with parachute to complete the stack. I’ve been eyeballing both the Apogee Zephyr and Wildman Punisher 3 for my next project and hopefully my level 1 certification. So that’s a summary of where things stand now.
