This spring I built a lampshade rocket for the low n' slow drag race at Thunderstruck. Basically a standard 4" rocket with a lamp shade at the base. RandyL made a nice video and posted it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaCwgIfMOfs&feature=youtu.be

Exactly! There have been outhouses and Large R2-D2 drink coolers flying for years!.....lampshade drag race anyone?
Mark,if it's the 24"x4' someone has flown theirs on K-1100's for several LDRS flights.Lexan fins I think.
Actually, with your decal resources..you could do another Star Wars service droid...like one of the flat cone droids.(grungy titanium look?)
...Big Dogs take glee in watching an odd-roc flown by an old fart or even an A-powered Estes kit flown by a 5 year old.
I was wondering if anyone has upscaled the break-away to 3"
