I first read the book in 1973 and it's one of my favorite books on propulsion history as my undergraduate ('71-'73) and graduate school ('73-'76) research was funded by the Navy Liquid Propulsion program.

At Boston College I got to work with most of the exotic oxidixers mentioned in the book: F2, Cl2, ClF, ClF3, NO, N2O4, OF2, OCl2, and OClF3. After reading the book, the reason why in the winter of '71-'72 I could find no published references for OClF3 after extensive literature searchs at the Boston College and MIT Science Libraries became obvious (It is the Compound A* aka Florox on pg 89).
