We were 50/50 on Sat. During the first flight, the glider got tangled in the shock cord after ejection. The second everything worked perfectly.
The other reason, based on vast experience with ONE rocket glider, and no boost gliders, why I prefer the former. The first is that you only have to keep track of one thing in the air. I've watched other people's boost and rocket gliders and have concluded that most rocket guys don't really get fixed wing aircraft.
Throwing a glider from the top of the playset works perfectly for that.
I take it you don't mow much? ;-)

FWIW, I've flown my old Amazon a bunch of times on a B6. Should work fine.

By chance, was it windy at all? Wind causing the rocket to lean into the wind instead of going straight up will cut down its altitude, potentially leading to a lawn dart.
