For real go around?

I didn't hear the Captain say we are going around. If I had been on that plane I would like to know what we were doing. I have flown into SF many times. It's a little disconcerting seeing other airplanes that close.

I flew into SF ONCE - and had a go around...
Because they had no indication the nose wheel had deployed.
Flew past the tower so they could do a visual inspection.
Copilot also went down to perform a visual inspection
The good news - the nose gear was down
The bad news - there was no way to confirm it was locked.
We landed with the runway lined with emergency vehicles
And the Nose gear stayed where it belonged for a safe landing.........

I don't fly thru SF anymore. The departing flights almost never left on time. Now when I go to Eugene I can take a non stop flight.
Pretty common sight at SFO. I'm kind of surprised he went around. I've been in a plane that was that close on landing there.
Luckily it’s a 757. Great power to weight ratio.
