Seattle Museum of Flight Exhibit Department staff member Geoff Nunn is seen preparing his semi-scale SpacEx Dragon model rocket for launch from Museum property on May 15th, 2014. The launch was part of a National Association of Rocketry sponsored orientation held for MOF employees near the Museum Airpark at Boeing Field. The tail of the Museum's historic prototype Boeing 747 (RA-001) is visible in the background.

NAR clubs from throughout Washington State are teaming with the MOF on July 5th to host "Rocket Day". Museum visitors are invited to pre-register for a NAR sponsored build and fly session at the Museum followed by a talk on early model rocketry by model rocket pioneers and guests of honor, Vern and Gleda Estes. Selected historic model rocketry artifacts from the recently acquired G. Harry Stine Collection will also be on special exhibit for museum visitors.
