Got the fins glassed tonight and also added Fixit epoxy shrouds around the launch lugs. Also did some minor fill work around the external additions and thin CA’d the inside top 1/2” of the BT. With a little sanding and cooperative weather I may get some primer on tomorrow!

The E.S. KABOOM ROCKET came right along today! 2nd coating of primer to the BT and sanded again. Finish coat of primer tomorrow. The nose cone didn’t need further primer, but I did paint the top inside of the payload bay (attached to the nose cone) hammered silver. The same silver was used for the floor of the payload bay, the backside of the internal monitor and the engine retainer cap. I picked out the font I wanted to use for the graphics and Lorrena cut them out of vinyl. Hopefully the base color of green can go on day after tomorrow. Marvin is pleased!

The E.S. KABOOM rocket (modified Estes Big Daddy) got its John Deere Green base coat today. This pic is sans clear payload tube bay. Marvin got mounted to his floor and his Illudium Q-36 explosive space modulator was loaded into the chamber. Marvin is pleased! Need to wait a week to paint some John Deere Yellow for trim color.
