I was reading the thread about the fallout movie and someone mentioned that they liked the games which got me on a thought rabbit hole which ended here.
Stay a while and listen...I forgot to add the Diablo series.
I to have tried to learn game dev… all I got was a deep and intense appreciation for game devs.Lately my Son and I have been playing Hollow Knight. He likes the challenge and I think is close to the end. I've been relearning some programming languages to make a game or two, but that's a different thread...
You might like a game called Terra invicta it’s on my list of games to try and seems right up your alley. My favorites include Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Star Wars: KOTOR, and I'm sure not to your surprise, Crusader Kings/Europa Universalis/Victoria/Hearts of Iron/Stellaris.
I have it. Backed it on kickstarter. Haven't gotten around to trying it yet, though. You might like a game called Terra invicta it’s on my list of games to try and seems right up your alley.
When you do tell me how it is please! I will note that I haven’t played a grand strategy game before.I have it. Backed it on kickstarter. Haven't gotten around to trying it yet, though.
Stellaris calls... you know you want to...No, but only because I remember how addicted I was to Diablo 2,Age of Empires 2, all the Civs. I don't want to open that t can of worms again.
Plebe.I will note that I haven’t played a grand strategy game before.
I've played Solitaire and Minesweeper a little bit, I really liked Descent but I haven't played it in a long time. I have a computer in the closet that will boot to MS-DOS and it has Descent on it. But since then I haven't done any gaming. I bought a new laptop 2 years ago, a gaming laptop, and haven't done any gaming on it but I did buy Overload and install on it.Used to in my wayward youth.
Doom, Quake, Descent series.
Well I did try a Victoria game on a free weekend but I realizedPlebe.
It's exactly the same for me. I won't let myself play them now. But the day is coming...I keep saying that I'm saving video games for retirement. No, but only because I remember how addicted I was to Diablo 2,Age of Empires 2, all the Civs. I don't want to open that t can of worms again.
I've circled back to Descent lately. With the dxxrebirth projects you can get pretty decent graphics and it's been a lot of fun going back into the mines again.Used to in my wayward youth.
