Combination launch lug/rail guide

Back in the mid '70's, Estes came out with the C-Rail. Like the name suggests, it was a "C" shaped aluminum rail, that used either screws or a tubular launch lug on a stand-off.

We've almost come full circle; what was old is new again. Has anyone thought about redesigning the launch lug to fit a 1010 rail? What about 3D printing a pair?

I remember those, they did not live long; nowhere near as durable as a piece of 1010 rail.

That is true, but they could be more durable with the right back plate.

I think eRockets talked about such a product at vNARCON 2022 but I don’t think I’ve seen it on their web page yet.

You mean something like this?
I've been experimenting with something similar for a 1010 rail.
3d printed t-slot rail buttons.(launch lugs).
These are made from PLA/CF on a regular 3d printer. Strong and Tough.
They will have a curved base and you just glue them on.

I got a second version where the t-slot connector is split into 2 parts and has a small spring in it such it will be a fly away rail button .
