Are there plans to do Bama Blastoff this year?

They always have it in October after crops have been harvested. I know they canceled last year and were supposed to reschedule but never saw any updates on website.
Any news on Bama Blastoff for 23 yet? The traditional date is only about 3 months away.
I just tried to pull up the Bama Blastoff website. It's gone. And the Fakebook page hasn't been updated since last October. There are bad signs.
Weren’t there 2 or 3 clubs associated with that launch? Maybe contact one of those clubs? Maybe even @tbonerocketeer knows something?

Not a good sign. I was only able to make it once in 2018, which I think was the first one. Great field unless it rains of course, then lots of mud. Hopefully it returns.It’s not on Chris Short’s 2023 schedule
Word on the street is no Bama Blastoff this year. Many of the organizers are experiencing health issues. Some personal. Just had brief chat with Bobby Campbell.
I hope everyone gets well soon and Bama Blastoff can return.

This just emphasizes the fact that a lot of events are dependent upon a small core group, or they don't happen.
More folks getting involved and helping run events benefits everyone!

So true. I'm president of a 130 member RC airplane club and it's like pulling teeth to find people willing to help with events.
