I am looking for a receiver or transceiver that cover 433.92 band. Single band w/ removable antenna. Doesn't have to new, just has to work. Needs a signal strength meter.

May I suggest you look at police scanners. I have some home brew transmitters that are on the same freq and I use a scanner to receive the signal. I was looking at the clearance stuff at the PX one day and there it was just $30.

Sorry, PX is an army acronym for Post eXchange. For civilians that would be Wal-Mart or K-Mart that is run buy the army.
