There has been interest in the V-2. I did not purchase it new, and there are a few things to point out; I don't want any unpleasant surprises for potential buyers. I would consider this a "builder's kit".

First, this is the older box version #1267; not the newer version. It is opened.

The airframe, nose, tailcone, etc. are in great shape. The fins were carefully removed from their sheets already.

The decals have yellowed with age and a power hungry soul opened up one of the centering rings from 24mm to 38mm; however this ring has been ca'd back together in case the builder decides to build it with the stock mount (24mm mount in a 4" rocket, who does that:wink::grin

That V-2 kit is an excellent kit and flies nicely on an E12-4 BP motor. D motor is a little under powered. Semroc has replacement BT and Centering rings for this Kit. A new center ring can be had for next nothing. The Body tube is BT-101 and same for centering rings BT-101 to a 24mm engine tube. I had to repace the BT on mine when it crashed due to an under powered flight on a D motor. I think had some launch rod friction that contributed as well. Ever since it flies on an E motor. My kit came with two 24 inch chutes, and the nose cone and BT comes down seperately. I didn't like this arangment so I use a 30 inch chute form Jon Rocket and keep the Nose cone and Body tube attached. This rocket would fly well on a low-mid power 29 mm motor if you beefed up the Centering rings. A G motor might send it to high to track. I bought my kit back in 2000. You can see a picture of mine in the link in my sig to my low power fleet. It's all the way to the left in the picture just behind my Rubicon.

Thanks Dave for your experiences...I know that it can be built with a 24 mount; but I've long been a fan of MORE POWER!:wink:. This kit is great, I never thought I'd sell it; alas too many projects and not enough time. The V-2 is sold pending funds.
