Every heard that the farmer that parked his tractor in the pond by the Washington Monument is from Whitakers, NC, right? Any idea if this is the guy that owns the land the launch site is on?
 
It is NOT the same guy. Walter, who was the landowner (he recently sold the land), knows who the guy is though. He said that the guy has always been a little eccentric but, even so, this is a bit extreme even for him.
 
Nothing to this effect was mentioned on the ncrockets mail list. I expect they would have taken note if he were the landowner, since the people on the list run that site.
