Hi Team. For our May launch we have one vendor so far that committed to coming That's Ken Allen from Performance Hobby. We will keep you posted as others commit. Cant wait to fly.
I will be at the May launch. If we get another 18 that want to cert like the April launch, Dutch your going to be a busy boy. Cant wait should be another great weekend for URRG.
Starting to prep rockets and motors for this coming weekend launch. My accuweather mobil phone app extended forcast is calling for sunny skies with some clouds and temps in the mid 70's. Decided to use my last AMW L1300 Blue Baboon motor in my Wildman Eagle Claw this weekend. This motor sends this rocket to over 7000' everytime. Can't wait for the weekend.
Mike You picked the right weekend. I just looked at the weather its showing Sunny 72 degrees and almost no wind. I plan on being there both days hope to have some real fun. Cant wait.
Packing my stuff up Friday will be on the field at 7:45 am Saturday morning to set up. Staying the weekend but decided not to camp the hotels are cheap this time of year 90 with breky cant make that up 5 miles from the field best western. Haven't figured out what to poke with have to scan the fleet for victims.
Weather is still looking sweeeeet looking forward to some great fun.
Great time today. Riley took some cool pics maybe we will see them once he's home. Dutch's 4 inch Nike on the 54mm 4 grain was cool at 5200 ft. That puppy got kicked really hard. Some guys have some cool flights planned for tomorrow.
Ken Allen, performance was there today and will be there tomorrow should you need anything. stop out and fly, watch or buy.
Well, both days were a bit overcast and, though it brightened later in the day on Sunday, the wind got pretty strong. I think flying effectively stopped both days around 3:00 or so. Here are some of the pictures that I took. They're not Dave-quality, as I don't have a good lens for this. And, I forgot the camera on Saturday, so only have cellphone shots for that day. Many of the rockets shown are mine, but many are not. There were several nice flights that I missed or forgot to pick the camera up for. Anyhoo...
Paul and I had 3 successful launches with our Crash Test Dummy rocket! We were testing some new formulas with 38mm motors, the first two flights being 2 grains, and the last launch as a 5 grain. That last launch went sonic speed, had a nice boom with our 5 lb rocket!
