Awesome odo! It came out great! The other two rides look great also! Let us know how she flies.

Thanks!
Hopefully I'll be launching it tomorrow, along with the Saturn V. Neither of them have been launched before so it should be an interesting day :)

Lacquer thinner can be absorbed into the skin and cause all sorts of nasty problems.

If you don't wear gloves (I never remember to put them on!) then a good quality hand cleaner is your best shot.

I have this at home -

It's made from natural orange oil and pumice and has other things like lanolin to moisturize and protect your skin. This is an Australian product, I would imagine that something virtually identical would be available locally to you.

I also use it before I handle an un-painted rocket to reduce oils from my skin contaminating the raw parts.

Gojo offers a similar product here in the states. So when you get paint on your hands from your HoJo you can wash up with Gojo.:kill:

I have 3 kits coming from Leading Edge Rocketry Micro Bertha, Micro Yellow Jacket and Micro Patriot. William here in Macon showed be how to make the Saturn more stable that comes in the kit. I know the Leading Edge Rocketry will be much better but if it ever stops raining I will have to launch what comes in it.
Thanks
Jeff

Not to worry Odo...Wes will ship it...it will come.

Now the Zooch Soyuz and Vostok are REALLY neat kits, but they involve some paper modelling skills and they can be a challenge. I am going to attach two great build threads that really helped me with my build of the Vostok and the Soyuz...(they are essentially the same booster with a different upper stage)

I highly recommend HCMbanjo's thread: https://www.rocketryforum.com/showthread.php?5213-Dr-Zooch-R-7-Soyuz-Build-Thread What Chris Michaelson can do with a rocket kit is nothing short of amazing.

I also highly recommend Mushtang's build of the Vostok....another really helpful build thread: https://www.rocketryforum.com/showthread.php?31660-Dr-Zooch-Vostok-Build-FINISHED! Mushtang's build threads are always really thorough and helpful.

I think you will find the tips that these guys give are just great and will really help you out. Remember to steam the paper before you roll the strap on boosters..rolling those boosters and in particular the "witches hats" takes a couple of tries and some patience...but its really worth it when you get done. They are just really cool kits. Just take your time with them and you will be well rewarded!!

I tried a build thread with both the Vostok and the Soyuz as well...I really had fun with these kits...I actually have built three of the Zooch R-7's (Vostok, Soyuz and Luna ) I have his Sputnik waiting here but I am trying my hand at a plastic model, a F-105 https://www.rocketryforum.com/showthread.php?49802-Dr-Zooch-Vostok-build-thread

Good Luck!! can't wait to see your pictures!! Odo you are doing a great job on your rockets! Just keep building!! Now if you really want to try a cool looking rocket..try the Zooch Saturn 1b!!!
