So....How many POUNDS of nose weight is that gonna take?? Yep, you're Crazy Jim's brother, Crazy Don!!

Can't wait to see it in person!

Wow! You do know that wooden baseball bats are an endangered species, right? OTH- those fins are ubercool!

The good old golden doorknob on the outhouse routine huh?

JD

I wouldn't call the balsa nose an "outhouse". There's nothing lighter than balsa when you're trying to minimize mass for a disappearing act.

The CF is probably somewhat overkill though, and won't help the altitude for my I record attempt next week.

That is pretty cool. I am with Jon, How much nose weight?

OK, I have to admit ,that is the coolest looking Jart/JartStar I`ve seen yet !

Nothing a sack of lead shot won`t fix !

NICE !

I`m going to have to get me one of those Jarts

Never real considered it, start off as a joke between CJ and I. Have to have the weight from hell in the nose cone.

OK , now I,m getting the crazy nic, thanks Jon.

Now comes the crazzzzy part. Here's a picture of the real use, yes that's 75-6400 motor.

Been asleep at the rocketry wheel for almost a decade and not sure what I am looking at.

Should I assume this is 100% in-house metal fabrication. How did you produce the nose cone? How are fins attached to handle what I'm guessing to be well over mach II? Thanks!

Not bad at all, it was a bit snug without the fins, about the same now.
Now comes the layup part, did you find that CF you were talking about or I just order up some!
install the motor clip mounts, tip to tip it a top it off with a lovely Fillet.

This is my LDRS Ball's project, going up on a M650 long burn

grady678, no metal, a conversion for a kit that was sold by Wildman Rocketry , all FG (fiber glass)

Yep... here it is. 28in by 11in. held it up to my fincan....should be exactly enough. How's that for luck?
I'll bring it this week end.

Doubt that's going to happen in Orangeburg, any 75mm load takes it over the wavier ( 3 grain minimum ).

That is what I figured. Please post pics or video.

You should sell the design back to Tim for next years Black Friday Sale.
