good launching today- even with the wind. My father in law saw his first HPR launch ever, and really liked the K motors and the 2 stager.

Gus...
Chicago Fire, M4770

Thank you for the picture :point: Eric...BOY, do i look like a stuck up little critter!

On a serious note, i would like to thank QCRS for hosting such a great event today that brought out not only my old friends, new friends and, several high school/college students to an absolutely beautiful day in Princeton! Afterwards i had a chance to run up to Van Orin and, see Tim and, Jackie...He's doing good, very sore but, great to see my friend is getting better after his surgery! :D

I would also like to briefly thank-

Eric :point:, Justin Farrand and, Dennis Watkins for all their help today at the pad preparing for that thundering launch.

Hostess Twinkies for just being so damn awesome...

The essential elements of Earth, Divine Wind and, Fire...

Young College girls wearing really tight exercise pants, for just being you...wah, wah, wah! ;)

Thank you all for a great day today! It was really nice to meet many of you for the first time and to see Erik and Glen again. Also great to put a face to a name Adrian! Special thanks to Gus for showing me how he put together that monster!

Looking forward to seeing everyone again in March!

Hey everyone,

A little lost and found action from the 20 Feb QCRS launch:

1) I'm an idiot and set my camera down in the back field (the one where all the rockets were landing), then proceeded to walk off. If anyone picked up a black Kodak digital camera with a strap, please let me know. I'll pay for shipping.

2) In my 2hrs of searching for my camera I stumbled across a white paper rocket with fiberglass fins. See the pic below. Contact me if its yours. This might be one of the missing Level 1 cert flights from today.

We lost a unpainted black and red jart jr at Midwest power last year. If anyone finds it this year please let me know, it was a bday present to my daughter from Tim

Brian, i hope it shows up and, there's still hope. I think yesterday we pretty much located everything that went up and, down. There WERE alot of flights!

Heads up, of course Justin Videoed the event and, pretty soon we should all get to see a teaser of the day on You-Tube! :D Again, LOTS of flights!

Had a chance also to meet WLViking and, SparkyVTFlyer (if i didn't mention it) Great people's!

Going back to the couch now...Daytona 500 comes on at 1pm and, then slowly put stuffage away and, clean later...Overextended myself yesterday. :caffeine:

Wasn't on the pad long enough to know it was there 😋
Great flight Gus! Anytime you need a hand just holler.

Dennis

It sure is nice to see ya pokin around Tim,,
How are you feeling ??
They'll be no swingin from the rafters for a while for you...lol...
Are you keeping a zip lock full of ice wrapped in a kitchen towel on your shoulder ??
It'll sure keep the pain and inflammation down...

Sounds like a great launch weekend
I plan on coming to next months launch, so ready to launch some rockets!

Justin- thanks as always for making these great videos of the launches!

Question for everyone- can someone tell me more about the 2 stager flights? I saw them go up, but was curious as to what motors they were flying on, etc.

Green and blue Wildman stager: K-635 to K-160

Yellow Dark Star stager: Reserch K to Research K

Nice video Justin! Thanks for doing this...:D

One question though, that rocket at 7:27 in the video-

Was it saying *Baaaaaaarrrp!*

Or, *Pfffffffffffffht!*

Or, *Rrrrrrrrippppp!* :surprised: Excuse me...

Finally got to watch it... Great video. I think one of my students now wants to launch rockets...

Can't make the March launch, but want to see about getting certified in April. I know it is very early, but can someone give me the test(s) and sign off on it? Will be getting my TRA membership ahead of time and already have my NAR L1. Do I need to take both tests? Also, will I need to cert L1 for TRA before doing the L2 test if I have NAR L1? Is it easier to just do the L1 again that day? I don't mind burning the extra newtons and I will have plenty to launch given the 2 months of no launches.

The memberships are transferrable- so you can join TRA as a L1- you just need to show them your NAR card to prove you have an L1 certification already.

or are you just looking for an excuse to fly more rockets? :)
