Sounds like Peter Alway needs to get busy expanding his drawings lol.

It would be really cool if Peter had a source for the Nike Zeus-A, but iirc he doesn't or didn't mention one when several of use were looking for info for scale modeling one.

The reason for using inspiration and not dimensions is that afaik there are no available drawings with good dimensions, same for the Nike-Zeus A, for which only two dimsension are known the booster diameter and the booster fin span.

Don't know why you say such a thing, I have all the dimesions for the Spartan Missile which I'm almost finished the Drawing for a Micro Powered 1:96.2053 Scale model .
Actually the original "Test Vehicle"- Nike-Zeus of which there were only two built, had such oversize booster fins it was butt ugly so not really a scale project most would worry with. However the Spartan Missile is a vary nice looking Rocket. It does take a little digging to find all the info but it's all there several of the Sentinel Project reviews & Project reports. a Fun Fact that should be noted; the entire Sentinel system Spartan,Sprint and Advanced Radar installation was only in full operation for one month.... We traded it away in the Salt-I Treaty.

Then you sir have something I have been unable to locate if you have dimensions for the Spartan. As for the Nike-Zeus A I may just do a sport scale of it someday, as someone who has a personal attachment to the legacy of the Nike System. My original recruiter was a Nike Herc missleman, my parents current home shares a property line with the Nike Missle Launch Site outside Cheney,WA, and I have helped dismantle one of the 4 Nike sites on the Hanford Nuclear Reservation (two were dismantled years ago, and the radar site is awaiting demolition. Besides if your going to build the Nike missles might as well build all 4 (Ajax, Herc, Zeus A, Zeus B).

... I want to build every scale or semi-scale missile and rocket Estes has ever made...

Quite an undertaking, best luck to you on your quest. This got me thinking, what semi/scale rocket/missile models are in the Estes catalog right now (2015-2016)?

There is a fairly decent offering. This does not really help with your search of the back-catalog, but a useful point of reference:

Skill Level 1
2056 Patriot
2446 Mini Honest John

Skill Level 2
7000 Bull Pup 12D

Skill Level 3
1921 Mercury Redstone
3228 V2
7240 Honest John

Skill Level 4
7227 Little Joe II

Pro Series II
9704 Nike Smoke

not sure if this really fits in with the group, this is more of a fictitious rocket, but has scale-like realism, like a future Atlas or Delta with boosters, maybe a stretch
7236 SLV
Or this fictional missile
2158 AGM-57X Heatseeker

did I miss any? feel free to add a link I may have missed. (these were the ones I could find on the Estes Rockets web site at the time of this post)

Some vendors may still have in stock others that may have recently gone OOP or are no longer on the Estes Rockets web site, for example:
2037 D-Region Tomahawk

Pro Series Patriot and the Ps terrier sandhawk (might be a nike tomahawk) iirc.

Yes I share your passion for the Nike based Rockets and Missiles. My Family (Father, Mother, Grand-Mother, Great Aunt and myself as an intern) worked at NRL (Naval Research Lab) in DC. Dad was very involved in the Vangard Project. We had steely eyed missile men over at the house constantly. I was hooked on space from an early age. Later found out my Father-in-Law was a Nike-Ajax & Nike Hercules Missle man with the DC National Guard in the 70-90's. Some very KEWL supe-8 desert Nike-Herc Launch films. I Have flying models of most of the Nike based sounding rocket varients as well as a PMC Nike-Herc. As mentioned I'm working on Micro-Maxx powered versions of the Nike-Ajax, Hercules, Spartan and Sprint. Hope to have most of these drawings and prototype models ready for flight tests some time this year.

I can't help with dimensioned drawings, but here are my photos of a real one:
www.rocketryforum.com/showthread.php?51239-Sea-Dart-photos

This specimen shows a similar red and blue colour scheme to the Estes kit. That marks it as an inert training round, meaning if you paint your model like that, it will be accurate as long as you never put a motor in it.

I'm thinking they need to revive a lot of the old missile and rocket kits. The Bertha is awesome, the Saturn V is better.

50th anniversary is just around the corner! I am hopeful...

Cheers,
Michael
