Greetings Rocketry Friends!

I am prepping for LDRS and dug into my OLD rocket motor inventory and would like to launch a couple rockets with Vulcan motors.

2 questions...

1. Will they be allowed at LDRS?

2. Does anyone have old thrust curve info for Vulcan motors?

Thanks in advance for any help!

What motors do you have ?

I found three motors ( E25, F50, G80 ) in a 1994 RASP.ENG file.

Delays tend to be long on very old motors, like a 6 turns into a 10+

I ruined a nose cone and part of a payload section on a LOC IV in 2003 using a 1988 motor from my stash. The delay went long and ejected on the ground.

I still have some old Vulcan and USR motors. I wouldn't trust the delays, use electronics. USR motors are nowhere near the performance claimed. Another reason to use electronics View attachment 646181

My 54mm full J200 Firestarter was more like a mid J100. Barley got a 5 pound airframe up a 10 foot rail before learning over 45 degrees and power arching at apogee.
