Especially NACA 2941.

This plot from NACA 2941, page 11 looks very familiar ...

... compared to accelerometer data from a 1998 flight on a K700 in a 2.95 inch x 71 inch LOC Vulcanite upscale ( n = 24 ):

Versus OpenRocket, where the quality of the finish has a major effect:

... I need to learn to fly HED so I can reduce my fineness ratio from 24 down to something a little lower so my rockets will go a lot higher and faster ...

I actually made four flights on this rocket. These are the Rho-Normalized drag-vs-velocity plots:

I had totally forgotten that last year i wrote an excel file to solve for Cd based on sensor data using quadratic drag. I made a thread on it last year as my other user. But here is the basics of it. Its pretty accurate...ish haha

This was for a project i had to do for numerical methods class. The final graph shows how as the rocket hits maximum velocity, the Cd begins to converge to a specific number.
