Rocketeers of Central Indiana (ROCI) launches through the warmer months at the beautiful Academy of Model Aeronautics’ field in Muncie, IN. We have essentially a 6,000’ AGL waiver with a max of K impulse. Our next launches are Saturday, Oct 14 and Nov 4, from 10 AM to 5 PM, weather permitting. Check out our website indyrockets.org or FB page before coming out.

We have the following launch equipment:

Low power pads: 1/8 and 3/16 rods
Hi power pads: 1010 and 1515 rails, 1/4 and 1/2in rods
We have one heavy launch pad that can be set up if someone will need it. Please let us know in advance.

All launches run on the following schedule, weather permitting:
Set up: 9AM
Launch 10AM to 5PM
Tear down 5PM or whenever there are no more people who want to launch, whichever comes first.
Assistance in the set up and tear down phases is always appreciated.

Merlin Missiles is usually there for your rocket motors and supplies.

Due to the weather forecast (high winds, rain, low ceiling) for Saturday, Oct 14, 2023, the ROCI launch at the AMA field in Muncie has been cancelled. We'll try again Nov. 4.
