Hello all,
I would like to start a rocketry club in Midland, Ontario. I am in high school and a few of my friends and I have been designing and launching some model rockets. We have launched 3 times so far. All low power engines. A few weeks ago, my friends and I decided to change from the three of us launching whenever and wherever we can to a club where anyone can join.

Is there anything I should know/be aware of before moving forward? Also, what is the best way to start a club?

Go to the NAR website---they have lots of information on starting a club.
I started one 3 years ago. We don't have club dues or launch fees and try to make everyone welcome. We operate under NAR rules but keep it informal. Each month I send out an email to everyone interested, reminding them of out launch date & time and any other launch information.

Welcome @RocketMatt5018. I think the biggest difference between a bunch of friends getting together to fly and a club is a club has a dedicated launch field. Then you can start thinking about group assets like launch and fire suppression equipment, websites, etc. I'd suggest asking parents and teachers to help with the field search. I often advise looking for the rocketeers closest to your location. In your neck of the woods, you have the Canadian Association of Rocketry (https://www.canadianrocketry.org/About-us). This forum has quite a few Canadian members as well as a dedicated sub-forum (https://www.rocketryforum.com/forums/canadian-rocketry.199/) where you can make some contacts closer to home.
