Tripoli Houston Launch Announcement

It’s a birthday Party!

Come celebrate with us, Saturday December 10th Tripoli #002 will be celebrating our 20th birthday. A little history, TRA #002 was the second TRA Prefecture ever formed, it was also the first TRA Prefecture in the Great State of Texas. Come join us in Hearne Texas for the celebration. All launch fees will be waived, this ones “on the house”. We will also have a raffle, tickets will be available at the LCO table. Many members and Vendors have donated some very nice prizes.

Yup, you heard right … no launch fees.

When: Saturday December 10th, Commercial Motor Day
Sunday December 11th EXperimental Day

Where: Hearne Municipal Airport, Hearne TX.

There are several Motels in the Area.

Hours: Saturday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Sunday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM or when interest wanes.

Waiver: 12,500 feet, with call ins to 16,000.

Tripoli Houston will have launch equipment on hand to support any flight from ModRoc to High Power. We welcome all.


All launch fees are waived. This is a free launch.

Come out and join us for the fun. Commercial motors only Saturday and EXperimental motors only Sunday. Should be a HOOT!

Weather Predictions: It’s a little early for this as we all know, the weather is unpredictable at best and subject to change. Keep and eye open for further announcements.
