Hello, I have a Starlight Sparrow boost glider under construction now. It's a delta wing looking thing. The problem I have is it's way nose heavy as built. Test glides in the backyard aren't helping much. I am not sure if it has enough altitude to possibly pull out of the dive. It's gonna take a lot of weight in the aft end to balance it out. Should I fly the thing with a 1/2 A and hope for the best???What would be the cleanest way to add the weight without having big lumps of clay mashed around the BT???
Thanks

Well, let's see.

First, you can read my review of the Sparrow from EMRR:

I have to say that I had major problems in trimming the bird. I have thought about CA-ing a few BB's along the back of the rocket along one of the wings and the body tube. This would remove a large amount of clay necessary for trimming.

There is also talk that this rocket kit is a direct rip-off of Doug Holverson's Zoomie:

I flew mine on a 1/2A6. Taking a look at the flight logs, it seems that most of the flights recorded were on the 1/2A6.

Good luck and let me know how your flights went.

Greetings , I flew my Sparrow for the first and last time today. She REALLY hauled on an 1/2A6-2, motor ejected and she REALLY REALLY hauled straight down. I guess I didn't put enough weight on the aft end of the thing, I'm only out a couple bucks. I've got lots of other stuff to build. It would be nice to hear from any others who did get it to work.
