These basic kits are available through Apogee, and I find they're ideal for kids because of their simplicity. My boys are 9 & 7 and they can slap these rockets together in under an hour. They just need some help assembling the parachutes. Another plus, for those of us snowbound this time of year, is that no painting is required, so we don't have to wait till spring to finish them. Sky also provides stickers instead of decals. The plastic parts are durable and the tubes have patterns already printed on.

Long March 3, Long March 3, Dynamo, Eagle, Shenzhou, and two Condors on the floor.
