Ted, thanks for the high quality shock cords! The 25 ft Kevlar shock cord I received today looks really strong. I'll be using it for my L1 cert flight at Red Glare with my Minie-Magg. Not only is the Kevlar shock cord almost 2 oz lighter and less bulky than the nylon one that came with the kit, it is also 7 ft longer! According to the OpenRocket sim, that shock cord alone will give me an additional 40 ft of altitude.

I"ll try to get a video of the L1 flight of the Minie-Magg.

I just got some new material guys,,,,,,,,,,,
It's 1" - 2000 lb Kevlar..........
The loops come out really nice and super strong, just like the others........
At this point,,, I have quite a bit of experience with these kevlar cords
in my own rockets trying to destroy them..........
You just won't believe how this material holds up
to repeated black powder charges and physical stress........

I don't think I should pre cut/pre make these,,,,,
I think there will be a great variance on the lengths required........

$1.25/ft W/ Loops sewn on of course.........

So, I came home from work today, to find an envelope waiting for me on my chair. I didn't remember ordering anything, so I was a bit confused. I looked at the "From" address and recognized the name, which left me even more perplexed about what I had forgotten about buying.

I opened the envelope to find three of Teddy's shock cords, along with a note.

He does a nice job on these, and I like the idea of the Kevlar sleeve over the end of the Nylon, to help protect it from charges.
