Here is a prototype for a custom kit I did for George Rachor, based on the Space Transporter America kit from Estes. I was not aware of this kit till I saw the excellent version in the NARAM judging room this year and was quite taken by it. For the prototype, I chose not to paint it gray, it would add a half an ounce and I think it will still look good in white. Of course I had to upsize the wings and locate them and the overall length to work out a good CG and glide, but I think the result isn't bad. Flight tests were excellent. Length is 38", diameter 2.6", wingspan 23", weight RTF with single use E-6 is 10.5 oz, with reloadable 11 oz.42878843_884472685094297_3391160740739022848_o.jpg IMG_20181002_212057798.jpg IMG_20181002_212103636.jpg IMG_20181002_212401073.jpg IMG_20181002_213135035.jpg IMG_20181002_213509210.jpg IMG_20181002_213516006.jpg IMG_20181002_213716852.jpg IMG_20181002_214223668.jpg IMG_20181002_214708525.jpg

And finished except for the text markings that Stickershock is doing for me, a photo of the original kit, and a photo of me prepping for the maiden.

Here's a video from this evening, I overcorrected on my first flight and then put some down trim on for boost for the flight you see first in the video.
