Paul Gross of Due South fame and "Men with Brooms just released a new one. It's about a big battle in Worl War 1 at Passchendale. It looks amazing in the trailer but I have yet to see the film but this one could tempt me into the theatre

Pitty, really, that this 'war to end all wars' gets little attention these days. Typically over shadowed by the 2nd great war to end all wars..

Walking through the Ottawa War museum, one forgets many of the past wars that shaped our planet..

To add:

I was stunned, and amazed, that ther was somethign before WWI, somwethign in Africa called the "Boer war"..

Truely one of the last wars taht say horses & loitsa walking. The odd derigible & odd train. But all was on foot or horseback..
