First off not sure if this is the right place so mods move if needed please...
So my beer bottle stand wasnt working out so well for larger rockets... so i needed to get paint and primer anyway and i was going to home depot so i looked around for stuff to make a stand with... i had the idea in my head just wasnt sure where all the pieces may be... this is what i came up with...
It took an entire 10minutes to build inckuding the time it took to get the tools off the shelf... i plan on building segeral more of these for different BT sizes...
Whats needed:
Dowel Rod of desired diameter (in this case 1 1/8" rod)
1/2" Ply wood
Drill bit of same diameter (in this case 1 1/8" hole bit)
Saw
Wood Glue
Duct Tape (only required if you are making the top plank adjustable)
Drill
Hammer
Instructions (these will based off of this build make sure to upscale/down scale as needed for larger/smaller rockets)
1. Cut plywood to 8"x8" square
2. Cut another piece of plywood to 4"x4" square
3. Cut dowel rod to desired length (I didn't measure mine... I cut it into 3 sections of random sizes)
4. Drill hole through the center of both square pieces of plywood (use the same size bit as your dowel rod)
5. Slip the smaller square of plywood over the dowel rod so there is 8"-10" of of length from the end and use to duct tape to secure plank from slipping down
6. Add some wood glue to the bottom 1/2" of the shorter side of the dowel rod and spread finely
7. Slip dowel rod into hole of larger square... use hammer if needed and to help adjust...
8. Add a bead of glue around the dowel rod where it mates to the base to help secure the rod...
let dry and then enjoy using it
