I have one of the Estes Pro Series II Nike Smoke kits and decided to make a new top and convert it to a Nike Apache. Attached is a photo of the master pattern (gray), three piece mold, fiberglass transition (white), and a nose cone. The master and the nose cone were made from PVC rod on my lathe. The cut outs were done on my drill press. As you can see in the photo, I used a 1.125 OD aluminum tube in the forward neck. This was a lot easier than trying to work fiberglass into the narrow neck.
Now all I have to do is finish the project. Will be posted later.
BTW- Does anyone have an extra u-built Estes Pro Series II Nike Smoke that they are willing to sell to me.
