In all seriousness, I will be one of the first in line to purchase one when they are ready. Maybe two!

Yep..You will probably be up all night hitting 'refresh' until the PayPal button goes active!

I know I have set aside the $$'s for 1(maybe even 2) and an LCD display..CJ showed it off to me when I was at his place fiberglassing some tubes..Cool unit!

I have been scurrying a way a few bucks here and there to grab the set and GPS when it is out!

Almost weakened today - had to put a J1520 vmax back on the shelf this morning at vendor trl as that would have ate up half the dough.

Need gps or tracking !

There will be one at ROC next week too!

You are all going to want one, these are EXTREMELY cool units.

The LCD screen and functionality is the coolest Iv ever seen in a altimeter.

You doin the big one next weekend?

I got to see one of these with the LCD attachment at RG XIV in the Wildman trailer. I played with it for about 15 minutes, and found the menus/button layout to be quite instinctual, requiring only a few questions on my part about what the values meant --multiples of 10 or 100, stuff like that. Very slick. I can foresee a few of these in my future...

Did the first staging with one.

Wildman 3in.
V-max 3 grain in booster.
C-star 1 grain in sustainer
2.5 sec staging delay

was perfect & a crowd pleaser....went 5200 ft.

Will do it again soon.

Also flew it in the Mega DarkStar P motor flight at Thunder Struck:

26 ft tall
210lbs
12in diameter

17,330ft
1700ft per sec [1160=mach]

Descent under main 16ft/sec

Yes it was.
Main came out prematurely, apparently while still going up according to the RRC3 file.
Can't read the Ravens. [I have Mac]

Anyone done extreme flight testing of these?

80+ G's and/or anywhere near Mach 3??

Greg -

Most extreme to date has been an almost Mach 2 push.
Not sure of max G-loading, but you can clearly see the transition back to sub-sonic realm about 4.5 seconds into the data stream.

Does the RRC3 power the events from the capacitor, or is the capacitor anti-brownout like a Raven?

Want to fly it in our N5800?

How much acceleration do you feel the RRC3 will withstand without failing?

Any plans for an accelerometer add on in the very near future?
