Yep, sadly the last episode is tomorrow (Saturday) night.

The Finale is from 8-9 PM EST.

The reunion show with Kari, Grant, and Tory is from 9-10 PM EST.

Thanks guys, and gals (Kari wasn't the only one during the 14 seasons).

I laughed and cried through the whole thing. It was great to see all five of them together one last time. Mythbusters has been a regular part of my life for about 11 years, and it gave me a real sense of loss to think it won't be there any more. :(

BTW, tonight at 8:00 PM on the Science channel, they're premiering a previously unaired episode, another "Duct Tape" special.

I wonder why they went with "only" 5001 lbs of ANFO in the cement truck just to break their record by 1 lb when they'd "only" filled the truck up half way. Explosives test range limits perhaps? Debris trajectory distances? Overpressure limits? Was it at the same range where they did their 5000 lb ANFO diamond creation attempt blast? If so, it sounds like 5000 lbs is the limit, range limit related or a legal/insurance limit.

As they said in their reunion show, they were introduced on an Australian radio show as "A Trojan Horse of reason hiding behind a thin veil of explosives." Not so thin, actually.

For the really big conventional explosives blasts, unfortunately the vast majority have no unclassified film, video or even hi res still images that I can find:

This one looks like the largest of those at 4,744 tons of ANFO:

More for fellow Mythbuster fans:

"Operation Snowball and Operation Prairie Flat were both undertaken to provide technical information relatable to the detonation of nuclear weapons by creating an explosion using 500 tonnes of TNT."
