Mounting and transmitting from a camera

If it cushions vibration, then by definition it allows motion between the rocket and the camera. I expect what might happen is the camera vibrates, blurring the image.

I use no cushioning on my camera installations. Just solid mounting.

Ideally, there would be no cushioning, but instead stiff supports that give only under high load (crashing).
 
The camera mount basically sits on top of a bulk plate and does not slide freely or loosely along the all thread rods; it's not absolutely necessary to put any padding around it. I just thought a little bit of foam might help absorb any additional vibrations applied to the module.
