For those heading out to Central Sod Farm this weekend, expect some phenomenal weather. Clouds over 12,000', winds very low and away from the trees, highs in the mid-eighties.

I'll be there with my MAC Performance Radial Flyer and Scorpion, Estes MDRM and Leviathan, and AT G-Force. My son will be flying his Estes Fuse on A3-4T until he runs out of motors, no doubt.

Elaine and I will be there on Sunday doing more Missile Works RTX testing. Please feel free to stop by and have a look. We'll answer any questions we can.

Hallelujah, I FINALLY get to get out to MDRA! And the Chesapeake Sea Monster will fly! Or at least it will try to.

COOL! THE SEA MONSTER will finally come out of the Chesapeake Bay! Depending on which way it flies you might have to alert the National Guard in up to three States. Alert! Alert! Emergency! Incoming Ekranoplan! If it ground effects across the Bay things could end up like the old movie The Russians Are Coming.

Make a High Power version and it could be:

One thing guaranteed. With funky Russian stuff and/or Sea Monsters, your launch will not be boring! Maryland, My Maryland!

Today, though extremely hot and humid, had some awesome flying. I put five rockets up: 2 G motors, and 3 I motors. My daughter launched twice, but mostly ran around. And my son launched once. So we put up eight birds in all. Almost no wind, and the clouds were waaaaaaaay up there. Easy to see rockets against the white sky. Tons of fun!

Glad you had a successful day. Mine was great overall, despite the Chute Release snagging the chute on my Jayhawk. Oh well, something to fix up.

I don't know if I remember that little wind on the Eastern Shore! Three of my five flights landed closer than the pads themselves.

Did Nate get his Level 2 on Sunday?

He attempted it but it went very badly. The apogee deployment charge blew off the motor retainer and it came in ballistic. Total loss.

Nope, see my build thread for info. We all have those dumb moments where we forget to do something basic. Some forget to hook up quick links, I just missed a step in the altimeter arming sequence...

Nice pictures Nathan! what do you use for your setup?

I've done that! One half of rocket comes down real slow and the other half comes down real fast.

Those pics were taken with my new camera, a Nikon D7200 with 18-140mm f3.5 lens.
